It has often been said that any truly successful side must endure some degree of adversity before it can once again regain its former glory, let’s just hope this will be the case.
Saturday was not a particularly gratifying way to end the season, yet from the past few games I have been more than pleased to see some potential that we must make the most of if we are to go forward and progress next year.
I am of the strong belief that next season will see our club looking somewhat different to the XV that ran on over this year, sadly some club stalwarts will be moving on and others will hang up the boots for good. However, that being said, we must use our off season to find and develop some youngsters, and snare some seniors, if we are to have a fighting chance.
Thanks to all those who have been of assistance during my short tenure, and I take this opportunity to gratefully accept the offer of another year at the helm.
As both our 2nd XV and Woman’s sides strive to bring home their respective pieces of silverware, I hope to see and hear you at the games.
